About Rogoznica:
Rogoznica is a village and harbour in the cove bearing the same name, 25 km south of Sibenik. Chief occupations are farming, fishing and tourism. The village is located on the peninsula (the former islet of Kopara was connected with the mainland by an artificial *** in the second half of the 19th c.) which divides the cove of Luka Rogoznica into the western and the eastern part. The cove of Rogoznica east of Cape Ploce is a favourable shelter for yachts. Rogoznica lies on a local road, branching off from the main road (M2, E65). Since Rogoznica has a number of fishermen, fresh fish is regularly offered. Among local specialities, the best is Rogoznica-style fish stew ("brudet"). Apart from usual sports and recreational activities, Rogoznica also offers fencing opportunities. The fencing school and the International Fencing Camp at the Fencing Club "Galeb Grafoplast" have been active since 1987. Organized excursions are also offered. The most important religious feast is the day of Our Lady of Kapalica, with a large procession of boats.
